Abstract
“It is less important to redistribute wealth than it is to redistribute opportunity.” has once been said by the American journalist and senator Arthur Vandenberg. Nowadays there are several competitions, contests and conferences that provide university students with challenging opportunities to deepen their knowledge, win some money and perhaps get a job offer. But many students do not get to know about such a wide range of events because each event is independent and there is no platform that collects all the information. Moreover, there is inequality among students attending different universities, while some schools tend to be active in providing information, others are passive and do not actively promote these events. University Challenges is a project started in April 2010 by a master student of Bocconi University in Milan. In a nutshell University Challenges is a website that collects information regarding competitions, contests and conferences and it aims at providing university students worldwide with equal access to these information.
