Michael Stevenson is Vice President of Global Education for Cisco Systems. In that role he is responsible for developing education strategy and leading implementation in various countries across the world.
Michael came to Cisco from a government position, being the CIO and Director of Technology at the Department for Education and Skills (DFES) in England. In that role he was responsible for driving the use of ICT in schools, colleges and universities. Prior to his role he was DFES Director of Strategy.
Prior to joining the DFES Michael worked at the BBC. A graduate trainee, he was the founding editor of the flagship political TV program “On the Record”. He went on to become BBC Secretary, Director of Education and Director of Factual and Learning.
