Theme: Harnessing Technology for a Better World
With an upward shift in the amount of waste generated per capita, decreasing landfill area and negative impacts on the environment, governments around the world are pulling their sleeves up and setting lofty recycling targets for their countries. However, the public needs to be fully on board in order for these targets to become a reality. By harnessing increasingly efficient and cost-effective technology, BINNOVATE is developing a digital, public-space recycling unit, to inspire and educate the public about recycling, while they recycle. This approach links directly to the well-established psychological concept of positive reinforcement. This states that the effectiveness of a message is increased through the creation of rewarding and enriching environments. BINNOVATE is proving that it is through immersive experiences, not occurrences that recycling behaviors are optimized.
The BINNOVATE Project brings together vast areas of User Experience, Advertising Innovation, Digital Media and Sustainability, all while increasing revenues for our partner firms. We are excited to propose our project to Education Without Borders in our journey towards sustainability.
